This was a beautiful home on an amazing lot is Croasdaile, in Durham, NC.  Lane and Sarah of Pally & Southard did an amazing job with the home to incorporate the natural light and openness of the rooms.

A cool home by local builders DJF that was entered into the Parade of Homes 2014.  DJF wanted a more country song on the video, and I thought the one selected fit the bill.

I got another chance to do a shoot, this time at the Cotton Mill. This real estate photography shoot in Raleigh was for this cool loft (also a video). The owners had an amazing DJ setup along with really well done designing throughout the home.

I recently just purchased my first ever jib and gave it a try on a loft at Caraleigh Mills.  It was perfect for some of the shots I was able to get.  I did feel like a young kid learning a new skill on the fly, but I think it will come in handy as I get better with it.

I am getting more and more use out of the drone lately - there are so many applications for them.  Here is an example of a home where I used it for a few different shots.

One of the more interesting real estate photography shoots I have ever done, 1010 Homer definitely leaves an impression on you.  A write-up from the website:  "This house is said to be the most prominent symbol of economic recovery in Forest Hills after the Great Depression. William Muirhead, who founded Muirhead Construction Company in Durham, had architect George Watts Carr modify plans from the New York Times to create this stunning Neoclassical Revival. The house has an impressive, austere facade with distinctive European influence. The hipped copper roof, intricate exterior stone trim, and the polygonal metal window above the front door are only a hint of this home’s interior magnificence. Staging A House

If you're a homeowner looking for tips on how to sell your home fast, I have one word for you - staging.  There's simply nothing that sets up a quick sale quite like properly staging a house.  I hear you asking, "but, how much does it cost?"  Well actually, there are plenty of real estate staging companies that will do the job for you for a very reasonable price.  If you decide you want to go a more DIY route, most of these companies will also give you the option of simply taking their rental furniture & setting it up yourself.  Check out the video & pictures of home below if you want to see a perfect example of how to prepare your house for sale.
